Police today released the name of a man wounded by police Friday om downtown Fort Collins.
he shot at College Avenue and Myrtle Street.
In a news release, police said Scott Mendias, 41, remains hospitalized with unspecified injuries after he was shot near College Avenue and Myrtle Street.
The officer involved was identified as Michael Crosland, a nine-year veteran of the force.
Police were responding to a report of a man with a gun. Witnesses said had been “acting crazy” before the incident.
Following standard procedure, Crosland is on paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.
