A 46-year-old Denver woman was arrested Sunday night after she barricaded herself inside her home for several hours.
People cutting down a tree next door to Linda Hall’s home at 5169 N. Perry St. called police around 2:45 p.m. to report that she had become angry and pointed what appeared to be a rifle at them, Denver police Spokesman Sonny Jackson said.
When officers arrived Hall locked herself inside her home and refused to come outside and speak to them. She also threatened to hurt herself with a knife, Jackson said.
Negotiators were called to the scene to speak with her.
Hall exited her home around 6:30 p.m.
Inside, police found the knife the woman had threatened to use on herself and a pellet or b.b. gun.
Hall was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing, Jackson said.
