The driver in a hit-and-run accident in Pueblo, which left a woman in serious condition, surrendered to police on Wednesday.
Rocky Valdez of Pueblo was driving a 2000 Dodge Durango when he hit Barbra Duran in the 700 block of West Northern, according to a news release from the Pueblo Police Department.
Duran was taken to Denver Health Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition.
Valdez fled the scene but later turned himself in. He was charged with careless driving and failure to remain at the scene after an accident involving serious bodily injury.
