DENVER—A Denver man has been arrested after he was accused of supplying methamphetamine to former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan Jr., which led to the lawman’s arrest.

Authorities say 49-year-old Timothy Faase was arrested Tuesday after investigators tailed Sullivan to his apartment.

According to KMGH-TV ( ), Faase was being held on suspicion of drug trafficking and possession of more than 2 grams of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $25,000.

The 68-year-old former sheriff faces a distribution charge and was being held on a $250,000 bond. Sullivan was sheriff of the suburban Denver county from 1984 until 2002, when he retired.
