Air Force routs American International 8-3 to stay in first place in Atlantic Hockey Association

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Kyle De Laurell and John Kruse each scored two goals as Air Force defeated American International 8-3 on Friday in Atlantic Hockey Association play.

Air Force improved to 8-4-2 and stands in first place with a 7-2-1 AHA record. AIC fell to 3-11-2 and 2-6-2 in the league.

The Falcons scored four goals in the first period for a 4-0 lead.

AFA scored two goals in the first three minutes of the second period, De Laurell with his second of the game and Paul Weisgarber with his first of the year.

Kruse added two more for the Falcons, one each in the second period and third period.
