DURANGO, Colo.—Former state Sen. Jim Isgar is undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia.
Isgar was appointed by President Barack Obama to be the state director of rural development in 2009 for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
According to the Durango Herald (), Isgar began treatments in October in preparation for a bone-marrow transplant.
