FRISCO, Colo.—A Frisco police officer faces a misdemeanor assault charge after an alleged scuffle outside an apartment complex.

The Summit Daily News reports ( ) that 39-year-old Daniel Sullivan was off duty at the time of the incident. Sullivan allegedly injured a person’s wrist Friday night during a dispute in which Sullivan accused apartment residents of being too loud.

If convicted, Sullivan could face up to 18 months in jail and/or $5,000 in fines. He has been put on administrative leave while an internal affairs investigation is conducted.
