The Colorado BioScience Association unveiled winners of its 2011 industry awards today.
They include:
Brian, Greg and Jeff Baldwin of Baxa Corp., which provides technologies for fluid handling and delivery, are receiving the Life Achievement Award.
LABS Inc., known for its testing work in infectious disease, microbiology, and immunogenetics, is receiving the Company of the Year Award.
Ventria Bioscience is being recognized as the Rising Star of the Year for its commercialization of recombinant proteins using a plant-based manufacturing system.
Timothy Rodell, president and CEO of GlobeImmune is the volunteer of the year; Melissa Reynolds, assistant professor of chemistry at Colorado State University is educator of the year; Ernst & Young is the business partner of the year.
State Representative Cheri Gerou is the legislator of the year, and U.S. Senator Michael Bennet and Johnson & Johnson both received the Chairman’s Award.
More than 400 people are expected to attend a sold out event tonight at the Downtown Denver Embassy Suites to recognize the recipients.
