Today. The Annual Candy Cane Festival at Hammond’s Candies, the 90-plus-year- old, old-fashioned sweets company, is popular enough that this year it’s two days instead of one. Today’s festival finale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. promises cookie decorating, face painting, candy sampling, arts and crafts, caroling, trolley rides, mini factory tours, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Sunday. Those familiar holiday tunes will take on bold new character at 1 p.m. when roughly 300 regional tuba players mount the 37th annual TubaChristmas Concert at Skyline Park. Produced by the University of Colorado at Denver’s College of Arts & Media, the TubaChristmas Concert is a celebrated local holiday tradition. Skyline Park, between 15th and 16th streets along Arapahoe Street.
