Vail Resorts’ innovative EpicMix awards and photo-sharing application, which has on-mountain photographers snapping free shots of passholders who collect pins and awards for their on-snow adventures, launched only a few weeks ago, and already the number of user social posts has exceeded the total number of EpicMix posts from all of last season.
And more than half of the 280,000 EpicMix posts on Facebook and Twitter so far this season contain photos, according to an announcement by Vail Resorts, which launched EpicMix at all six of its ski areas.
