What’s at stake: The winner of this showdown between the Mountain West champion Horned Frogs and Western Athletic Conference champion Bulldogs will carry an eight-game win streak into 2012. TCU’s seven-game win streak includes a 36-35 victory at Boise State on Nov. 12. Louisiana Tech has won seven straight after a rough 1-4 start.

Key matchup:
TCU’s usually tough defense vs. Louisiana Tech’s high-octane offense led by QB Colby Cameron and wide receiver Quinton Patton. The Bulldogs have five scoring drives of at least 90 yards.

Players to watch:

Louisiana Tech’s Cameron. A Southern California native, he replaced struggling Nick Isham late in the third quarter at Utah State on Oct. 22 and led two scoring drives that gave Louisiana Tech a 24-17 win. In six games, he’s passed for 1,403 yards and 11 touchdowns.

TCU QB Casey Pachall. Pachall enters the Poinsettia Bowl with 2,715 yards passing and 24 TDs.
