A 21-year-old man is in custody in connection with an assault on Fort Collins man on April 29.
Raul Valentine Laureles, of Fort Collins, turned himself into police on Tuesday, after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to a news release from Fort Collins Police Services.
Laureles faces one count of second-degree assault.
In April, Laureles allegedly assaulted a 33-year-old man outside the main gate of Woodward, located at 1000 E. Drake Rd.
Police recognized Laureles as a suspect after they received a tip from someone who overheard two women talking about the assault in a restaurant on Dec. 9. After discovering a story and composite sketch on the Fort Collins Coloradoan’s website, the unidentified citizen contacted police.
