ALAMEDA, Calif. — Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford made it through a third consecutive practice without any setbacks and expects to play in Oakland’s regular-season finale against San Diego on Sunday.

That would be a big boost to the Raiders, who need to beat the Chargers to keep their playoff hopes alive. Oakland can get in as the AFC West champion or as a wild card, though the Raiders would need help from other teams for that to happen. It’s a game Ford doesn’t plan to miss.

“We know what type of game it is. It’s a big game,” Ford said Friday. “But we’re not looking at it as something to put pressure on ourselves. Then you’ll be uptight and you won’t play loose and relaxed. We’re just going to go out there and play the game the way we need to.”

Ford hasn’t played since injuring his left foot after making a catch in the first quarter of Oakland’s 24-17 victory in San Diego on Nov. 10. He was averaging 15.3 yards per catch before getting hurt and has been one of the Raiders’ two deep threats with rookie Denarius Moore.

Moore, who is averaging a team-high 17.2 yards per catch, also recently returned to Oakland’s lineup after missing three games because of a foot injury.

New deal for Succop •KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A person familiar with the deal said the Chiefs have signed kicker Ryan Succop to a $14 million, five-year contract extension.

Succop was tagged with the “Mr. Irrelevant” nickname when he was the final pick of the NFL’s 2009 draft. But he’s been quite relevant for the Chiefs this season, hitting 24-of-29 field goal attempts, including 22 straight to match a franchise record.

Packers missing three keys •GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers will be without three key players on offense during their game Sunday against the Lions.

Running back James Starks (knee and ankle), wide receiver and kick returner Randall Cobb (groin) and wide receiver Greg Jennings (knee), who has missed the last two games, won’t play in Green Bay’s regular-season finale.

Coach Mike McCarthy would not say whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers will sit the game out with Green Bay already having clinched the top playoff seed in the NFC.

Footnotes. Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett was fined $15,000 by the NFL for hitting Cincinnati rookie quarterback Andy Dalton below the knees last weekend and another $15,000 for a horse-collar tackle on Bengals running back Bernard Scott.

B Vikings running back Adrian Peterson had surgery to repair torn ligaments in his left knee.

B QB Tom Brady is listed as “probable” on the Patriots’ injury report for Sunday’s game against the Bills.

B Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will play against Tennessee on Sunday after missing the last three games because of a strained left hamstring.

B Dolphins running back Reggie Bush (knee) will miss Sunday’s game against the Jets.

B Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and safety Troy Polamalu are listed as “probable” for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
