FORT COLLINS — The Rams (3-10) started strong with a 13-4 run, but the Falcons (10-3) came back to take a seven-point halftime advantage and outscore CSU 38-32 in the second half for the win.
Arkansas-Little Rock 53, Denver 51. The Pioneers trailed by as many as 11 with 3:30 left in the game but went on a 9-0 run and were within two at 53-51 with 46 seconds to play. Denver had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but Morgan Van Riper-Rose had her shot blocked.
DU’s Emiko Smith had a career-high 21 points.
Northern Colorado 77, Northern Arizona 71 D’Shara Strange had a game-high 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting as the Bears (9-5, 1-0 Big Sky) defeated the Lumberjacks (5-9, 0-2).
Metro State 83, Western State 74. The Roadrunners (11-0, 7-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) received a team-high 20 points from reserve Janessa Burk in their win over the Mountaineers (7-7, 6-2).
Regis 75, Colorado Mesa 70. Kari Ameling led the Rangers with 22 points while pulling down a team-high six rebounds in a win over the Mavericks.
Men
Metro State 79, Western State 64. The top-ranked Roadrunners (12-0, 7-0 RMAC) used a 25-5 run late in the first half into the second to top the Mountaineers (4-8, 1-7).
Metro State received double-doubles from Jonathan Morse (22 points, 13 rebounds) and Reggie Evans (20, 10).
An 11-2 run cut the Roadrunners’ lead to 11 points at 60-49 with 6:15 left in the game, but the Mountaineers never got closer than 11 points.
Regis 60, Colorado Mesa 58. The Rangers (4-7, 1-6 RMAC) snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Mavericks (7-5, 5-3) and an 18-game home losing streak to CMU.
Lance Korell led Regis in scoring with 15 points.
