GREELEY, Colo.—A northern Colorado woman whose husband presumably died on a lake along the Texas-Mexico border in 2010 says she needs more information to be able to tell whether remains found there recently are her husband’s.
Tiffany Hartley says she and her husband, David, were using personal watercraft on Falcon Lake on Sept. 30, 2010, when they were approached by Mexican pirates who shot and killed her husband.
A man fishing on the lake found skeletal remains of a body Saturday. The Greeley Tribune reports () Tiffany Hartley received a report from Mexican officials about the remains Wednesday, but she isn’t releasing what the report says until she can get more details.
She says she needs more information before saying it is or isn’t her husband.
