Louisville leaders will gather Tuesday night to gaze into the proverbial crystal ball, engaging in topics ranging from preserving downtown’s success to filling nagging retail vacancies in the city.
Mayor Bob Muckle sees the City Council retreat as an attempt to put together a work plan for the city staff for the next year or two.
The mayor said among the top items on the city’s agenda is rejuvenating activity at the 129,000-square-foot building on McCaslin Boulevard that used to be home to Sam’s Club. It closed two years ago.
“That space needs a lot of attention and proactive effort on our part,” Muckle said.
