SHERIDAN, Colo.—Police say a man and woman trying to steal from a SuperTarget store in Sheridan got away after another man sprayed security officers with what appears to have been pepper spray.
Authorities say the store was evacuated, and at least three people who were sprayed were treated at the scene.
Authorities say the man and woman who were trying to shoplift ran toward the exit when security officers tried to stop them. Another man sprayed the officers before all three suspects fled in a dark-colored car with a Florida license plate.
