Denver power broker Paul Sandoval, who helped two boys from the valley get elected to Congress, will receive the Colorado Democratic Party’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award will be presented at the party’s annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner, scheduled for Feb. 11, said Democratic Party chairman Rick Palacio.
The news about Sandoval’s award comes at the same time the tamale-shop owner decided to end his battle with pancreatic cancer and go into hospice care at his north Denver home.
