BEIJING —Chinese state media say that none of the 29 Chinese workers abducted in Sudan have been freed despite reports saying some had been released.

The official Xinhua News Agency said today that the road workers are still being held. It said 18 others fled, and 17 of those were rescued. One is still missing.
