The National Weather Service said Tuesday afternoon it has “growing confidence” that a winter storm could hit the central Front Range and Eastern Plains on Thursday and Friday.
The Weather Service said there is a 30 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m. Thursday and a 60 percent chance Thursday night and Friday. Snowfall would taper off Friday night or early Saturday, forecasters said.
Forecasters said the storm’s precise track is still undetermined, but it was looking more likely that the central mountains and the Eastern Plains could be in its path.
In the meantime, today’s weather is expected to be a carbon copy of Tuesday’s, sunny and mild.
