A Loveland man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual contact with a juvenile.

Robert Kirchhoff, 54, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexual assault on a child and sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, according to a Loveland Police Department media release.

Police began investigating Kirchhoff on Saturday after receiving a report about “unlawful sexual contact” with a “juvenile female.”

Kirchhoff is being held at the Larimer County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond, police said.

The suspect is a ” children’s group volunteer” at Resurrection Fellowship Church in Loveland, police said. Investigators do not have evidence indicating that the alleged crimes happened at the church.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Det. Brandon Johnson at 970 962-2032.
