DENVER—The Denver Post, Colorado’s largest newspaper, is endorsing Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential nomination.

A Post editorial posted Friday ( ) said that Colorado Republicans were right to choose Romney in the 2008 presidential caucuses and should do so again on Tuesday.

The newspaper cited Romney’s “executive experience in government and business” and called his economic plans “more sensible” than those of the other GOP candidates.

The Post called Newt Gingrich “untrustworthy” and Rick Santorum “short on real-world experience.” It said Ron Paul’s isolationist foreign policy is “dangerous.”

Colorado Republicans expect between 70,000 and 80,000 people to participate in Tuesday’s nonbinding precinct caucuses. Most of Colorado’s 36 delegates will be assigned after a statewide GOP assembly on April 14.
