An 18-year-old woman was arrested in Fort Collins on Thursday, after she allegedly stabbed her 43-year-old boyfriend.
Around 3:23 p.m., deputies were called to the Motel 9 at 3634 E. Mulberry St. on a report that a man had been cut, according to a news release from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
When authorities arrived, they found the man bleeding profusely and he was immediately taken to Medical Center of the Rockies with non-life threatening injuries.
The man’s name and condition have not been released.
Investigators later determined that the man was apparently in an argument with his girlfriend before he was stabbed.
Deputies arrested Kayla Dawn Mondragon, of Fort Collins, on suspicion of second-degree assault, committing a crime against an at-risk adult (her boyfriend is blind) and domestic violence. Mondragon is currently being held on a $7,500 bond.
