A Lincoln County man convicted of multiple counts of sexual assault was sentenced today to 320 years in prison.
Edward Dockery had also been convicted of three habitual offender counts, according to a news release from the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s office. Today, Judge P. Douglas Tallman sentenced Dockery to 64 years on each of the five counts of sexual assault and ordered the sentences run consecutively — one after another, according to the district attorney’s office.
Deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s arrested Dockery in 2009. He was accused of repeatedly using force to sexually assault his then-girlfriend between April 2007 and January 2008.
Dockery, 46, was convicted at trial on the charges in July 2011.
