PUEBLO, Colo.—Pueblo County Republicans are reminding participants to double check the location of their precincts that have been renumbered because redistricting.
The Chieftain reports ( ) that the Pueblo County clerk’s office will remain open until 8 p.m. to help voters find their correct caucus location.
County Clerk Gilbert “Bo” Ortiz says his staff renumbered the county’s 128 precincts following the once-a-decade statewide redrawing of the legislative map to account for population changes.
Ortiz says the new precincts reflect the Pueblo County’s population growth areas.
Pueblo West now has 20 precincts, up from 11. The number of precincts within the city dropped from 95 to 88.
