Paper perfect. It’s hard enough to keep a family’s schoolwork, practices, games and social commitments straight. Add the chore of organizing and filing myriad family documents — and what many people end up with is a to-don’t list instead of a to-do one. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine has a solution. “Your Family Records Organizer,” available as a CD, booklet or both, includes forms to help organize assets, emergency-preparedness information, employment, medical and pet records, and more. It can serve as a tool for teaching youngsters about finance, and it is absolutely essential during a crisis. Prices ranges from $24.95 to $32.70 (plus shipping). Order online at or call 888-547-5464.
