LONGMONT — — Longmont’s tax collections in 2011 were up nearly 6 percent compared with 2010.
The year’s final numbers, which were included in this week’s City Council communication, showed that net sales tax revenues were up 4.6 percent, while use tax collections were up 12.7 percent. The increase overall was 5.9 percent from 2010’s collections.
The city took in $47.2 million in 2011, compared with $44.6 million in 2010.
It’s the second straight year of increases, which followed three years of year-over-year revenue declines.
