AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—A hearing is under way to determine whether the last of three Air Force Academy cadets charged with sexual misconduct will face a court-martial.
The Article 32 hearing for Robert M. Evenson Jr. began Monday at Peterson Air Force Base. It’s the equivalent to a civilian grand jury proceeding.
The Gazette reports ( ) Evenson is accused of conduct including rape, indecent acts and stalking. One accuser testified Monday that Evenson forced his hand down her pants against her will while they kissed about three years ago, but Evenson’s attorney questioned differences in statements she made in the case.
Evenson and two other cadets face sexual misconduct charges stemming from unrelated incidents between February 2010 and May 2011.
No decisions have been made on whether those cadets will be court-martialed.
