LONGMONT – —  It’s time for Longmont leaders to decide what they want from FasTracks.

Rising costs are giving the Regional Transportation District board of directors second thoughts about building a Northwest Rail Corridor.

On March 8, RTD directors will consider three choices, including one that would kill off train service to Longmont in favor of a rapid-transit bus line.

Tonight, the City Council will discuss whether to recommend that, proceed with rail or use bus service until rail can be built.
