WELD COUNTY — An Eaton High School senior was killed just after midnight today when the truck he was driving spun out of control.
Trevor Ewing, 18, of Eaton, rolled the 2001 Dodge Dakota after it spun out of control as he was traveling south on Weld County Road 43 just south of Weld County Road 94 a few miles east and north of Pierce, said Trooper Nate Reid of the Colorado State Patrol.
Ewing was driving four passengers all between the ages of 21 and 14, but all appeared to have minor injuries, Reid said.
Ewing, who like the rest was not wearing a seat belt, was the only one ejected from the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.
