A woman’s body was discovered along the side of  a road in Adams County Sunday night.

At about 6:55 p.m. a passerby spotted the body in the 9800 block of Quincy Street, said Sgt. Terrance O’Neill, an Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

The area where the body was found is mostly undeveloped, just off Tower Road between Denver International Airport and the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.

The body of the unidentified woman was full clothed and there was no sign of obvious trauma.

The death is possibly a drug overdose, O’Neill said.

“We’re awaiting the toxicology report in the case,” O’Neill said.

O’Neill described the victim as a white woman who was about 40.

Investigators are trying to determine how the body got there.
