VAIL, Colo.—Dozens of people are facing various charges after being taken into custody during the three-day SnowBall music festival in Avon.
Police Chief Bob Ticer tells the Vail Daily ( ) 140 people were taken into custody on charges including trespassing, assault, and drug possession. Of those, 101 were for alleged alcohol violations, primarily for underage drinking and procurement of alcohol for minors.
There were 48 arrests during the SnowBall last year.
Ticer says the difference is there were more officers at the event this year, with other agencies and the state liquor agency sending personnel.
