GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A scenic road at Colorado National Monument is reopen after crews brought down six tons of rock before it could fall on someone’s car.
Park rangers noticed a crack in rock at the entrance to the upper tunnel on Rim Rock Drive about five years ago.
According to KJCT-TV ( ), park rangers recently noticed a new crack and called in a geologist, who recommended the rocks be removed.
