An Englewood High School student was arrested Friday for possession of alcohol on campus, according to police.
The 17-year-old was arrested around 1:14 p.m. by the school resource officer and taken to Swedish Medical Center, said Scot Allen, spokesman for Englewood police.
“I am not sure at this time if the student was also intoxicated or suffered some other medical condition,” Allen said Saturday.
A teacher notified police of the student’s actions, Allen said.
The student was charged with minor in possession. Englewood does not have a public intoxication policy, Allen said.
According to the school handbook, a student faces suspension for having alcohol on campus.
