COMMERCE CITY, Colo.—The Colorado Rapids have released midfielder Steven Emory, who signed with the club after an open tryout before the 2011 season.
Emory never appeared with the club in MLS play.
He did appear with the Rapids at a U.S. Open Cup match at the Chicago Fire on March 30.
Colorado announced the move on Thursday.
