While the market for ranch homes in Colorado has been going nuts this spring – seeing MUCH higher traffic along with MUCH faster sales of buyers’ previous, older homes – the experts at Lennar Homes have been busy re-designing their ranch plans to reach that new buyer’s latest preferences. You can be first in the door to see what they’ve come up with today, as 55-and-older Heritage Todd Creek holds a grand opening for six ranch models – including two showing third-car garages.

Those ranch buyers have already bought ten homes at Heritage since January, well before today’s unveiling. Meanwhile, Lennar is one builder that has been bringing ready-to-deliver homes to market, with special grand opening pricing if you’re ready to go now – including some low-maintenance paired-ranch homes that have settings on the golf course – one overlooking the box on the 7th fairway, at just $302,900.

The six new single-family models opening include a ‘Shenandoah’ 3-bedroom…or two-plus-a-study, around 1,873 square feet, with a wide-open kitchen-family-dining area, hardwood floors and other popular features, priced from $339,900. If you like its looks, Lennar has a ‘Kensington’ spec home, very much like it, that’s ready to move in now, priced down from $355,400 to $335,400; third-car garage included.

It comes with Lennar’s ‘Everything’s Included’ features…such as smart-home technology that lets you turn off-and-on lights from your iPhone when you’re away…lets a neighbor in to check on the cat…even gives you a home security camera you can monitor from your laptop.

Of course, you can’t visit without dropping by the amenities that come as part of the lifestyle – starting with the Arthur Hills-designed golf course (Only four of ten buyers see it as a must, says Cindy Ditallo; but practically everybody likes the idea of being in a golf community). And EVERYBODY likes the entry gate and Todd Creek’s Grand Clubhouse – jumping-off point for dozens of clubs centered on yoga, swimming, jazzercise, tennis, charity work and more. Todd Creek’s C.W. Vaughn adds that they also like Creekside Restaurant and bar – open until 8 p.m. with a prime rib special tonight (Yes, your money is good there), Queen cut, $16, King cut $18.

Todd Creek’s Vaughn, Ditallo and Mike DeNuzzi will also tell you how to get started toward a ranch lifestyle if you haven’t marketed your old house – including about a guaranteed buy-out Lennar offers (they’ve done 40 of those). To reach, take I-25 north past 470 to Highway 7, then head east 5.5 miles to Yosemite.
