Boulder police arrested an Erie man after he allegedly spit on a bicyclist and threatened him with a machete Tuesday, according to a police report.
Mack Daniel Meade, 21, was arrested on suspicion of “flourishing a weapon” and physical harassment, both municipal charges.
According to the report, the victim said he was biking in the area of Broadway and Basalm Avenue about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when the passenger in a passing car spit on him.
The cyclist caught up to the car at a red light and began talking to the passenger. The passenger then displayed a machete and said, “Want me to … chop you up?” before the car left.
