FLORISSANT — The Teller County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a “suspicious” death after a body was found Thursday morning in the Indian Creek subdivision, about 5 miles north of Florissant, according to the office.
The Sheriff’s Office is working with investigators from the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Officials would not say what time or where the body was found, or provide a gender or an approximate age.
A resident of the subdivision said sheriff’s deputies came to her house about 10 a.m. Thursday and told her to remain in her home.
“They were interviewing me and asking if I had seen anything suspicious, if I had witnessed anything last night,” said Ann Childs, who lives on Bird Point Road.
