LOVELAND, Colo.—Loveland is asking federal housing officials to reconsider a ruling that low-income residents were overcharged.

The ruling could force the city and the Loveland Housing Authority to repay $250,000.

According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald ( ), the city says it acted responsibly when it imposed a $113 monthly service fee for 49 affordable housing units. The federal government says the charge pushes monthly rent above caps set by federal regulations.
