Boulder cops look for thin man who slipped out of Best Buy without paying for cell phones

Boulder police are looking for a man suspected of walking out of a Best Buy store with three new cellphones without paying for them.

The theft occured at about 11:25 a.m. on March 30 at the Best Buy on 1740 30th St.

An employee tried to stop the man to ask that he show receipts for the phones, but the man continued to walk out of the store.

The suspect is described as a white man with a thin build between 30 and 40 years old with very short brown hair.

An employee of the store described him as “gaunt,” according to a news release from Boulder Police.

The day of the incident the man was wearing a short-sleeve gray t-shirt, blue jeans, and black and white athletic shoes.

The man also has a spider tattoo on one of his elbows.
