 Doors open for annual sunrise Easter service at Red Rocks Amphitheater at 4:30 a.m. this Sunday, April 8. The service begins at 6 a.m.

This year the music will be provided by Jakarta Praise, a band former by Isaac Points of Denver, according to a Points has performed gospel music at Park Hill United Methodist Church and New Hope Baptist Church.

The sermon will be given by Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, who is a deacon at New Hope Baptist Church.

Parking and admission are free, although COMPA Food Ministry will collect non-perishable food items.

Monetary donations will be accepted, with 10 percent going to homeless shelters and the rest used to offset the cost of the service.
