COLORADO SPRINGS –  — The owners of the Gasoline Alley tavern and nightclub in downtown Colorado Springs have proposed expanding into the vacant building next door, which has been largely vacant since Zerbe Jewelers moved out four years ago.

Sam and Kathy Guadagnoli have contracted to buy the Zerbe building, 26 N. Tejon St..

A proposal submitted by the Guadagnolis to city planners would combine Gasoline Alley, 28 N. Tejon, with the Zerbe space, creating a single building facade; add a kitchen and grill in the front of the Zerbe building; and join the existing Gasoline Alley rooftop patio with the Zerbe rooftop, creating a single outdoor area that would be open for dining.
