Three dogs died this morning in a house fire east of Longmont.
Firefighters with Mountain View Fire Rescue responded at 8:05 a.m. to a report of a fire in the Del Camino area west of I-25 and south of Colorado Highway 119, according to a fire department media release.
When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke streaming from the mobile home.
Firefighters put out the fire, went inside and found three dogs who had died. Residents of the home were not there during the fire. No firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
