EDWARDS – —After more than a decade, The French Press in Edwards served its final dinner to patrons last week. The Riverwalk eatery began serving food in January 2001, after owner Zak Stone converted the space, which previously was home to a coffee shop, into the intimate French bistro.

Stone sent out an email blast this week notifying his customers and saying goodbye.

“It has been a pleasure serving the Edwards community,” he wrote. ” … I am deeply saddened by the loss of this restaurant. I will miss the friendly atmosphere, my employees, my customers, the fun we had and the food we served.”
