A bear spotted roaming in Boulder was tranquilized Thursday morning after it climbed a tree near the Williams Village dining hall at the University of Colorado.
After a short wait, the bear fell out of the tree and onto pads that had been placed on the boulevard near 30th Street by wildlife officers. The bear landed on its back.
“It was really a perfect landing,” CU police spokesman Ryan Huff said.
The animal was tagged and relocated to the foothills west of Boulder.
