GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Grand Junction teenager accused of mutilating his mother’s dog and hanging it from a bridge over the Colorado River is expected to be sentenced to probation after he pleaded guilty to animal cruelty.
According to KJCT-TV ( ), Joseph Nelson was arrested in November after the 20 pound mixed-breed dog was found hanging by its leash from a pedestrian bridge.
Nelson is scheduled to be sentenced in June.
