TRINIDAD, Colo.—A woman accused of threatening two members of the Trinidad City Council is facing criminal charges.

The Pueblo Chieftain () reports Sandra Nichols of Trinidad is charged with two counts of menacing and two counts of harassment. The charges are misdemeanors.

Nichols is accused of making threatening phone calls to Councilmembers Al Pando and Linda Velasquez on Wednesday. Both had voted Tuesday to fire former City Manager Ed Gil de Rubio.

Police Chief Charles Glorioso wouldn’t immediately disclose what Nichols is accused of saying.

Pando, Velasquez and Nichols have unlisted phone numbers and couldn’t be reached for comment Friday night.
