BOULDER, Colo.—Colorado transportation officials are hoping to get both lanes of the highway between Boulder and Nederland open after a rockslide.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says crews will knock down additional loose rocks or boulders Tuesday so they won’t fall on traffic.
Officials say no one was injured when a boulder weighing an estimated 12 to 15 tons fell on Colorado Highway 119 in Boulder Canyon.
The boulder toppled near mile marker 33 between Boulder and Nederland, leaving behind slight damage, mostly on the shoulder of the road.
