DENVER—One of Gov. John Hickenlooper’s nominees to the board of the state-chartered worker’s compensation company Pinnacol Assurance has withdrawn, a day after a Senate committee rejected her confirmation.
The Denver Post reports ( ) the seven-member Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously rejected the confirmation of Marcia Benshoof to the board Tuesday because she worked for Pinnacol as an executive until 2009, and lawmakers questioned her objectivity.
The full Senate was due to vote on her nomination Wednesday, but she withdrew.
