Bail was set at $1 million Wednesday for an Arizona man arrested in Colorado on Tuesday on charges he fatally shot a 20-year-old stranger in Phoenix in an argument over a boxing match.

Allen Robinson, 31, faces first-degree murder charges in the death of Francisco Suarez, who was shot multiple times as he drove down a street early Sunday.

A Colorado state trooper pulled over Robinson’s 1992 Honda Accord going east on Interstate 70 near Rifle. He was traveling with Susan Gonzalez, 30, who was being held without bail on a conspiracy charge in Garfield County Jail.

Court records show Robinson and Gonzalez shared an address in Phoenix.

They were traveling with an 11-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. The children were turned over to the Colorado Department of Human Services.

Phoenix police said the shooting occurred after a discussion of the Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto fight earlier in the evening.

Robinson was offended when Suarez said he was not a true fan of Mayweather, police said.
